More quality at the feed

Fractionated feed... →
A horse's digestive system is quite fragile and so spreading the ration between 3 or 4 times a day is needed. A horse’s stomach is relatively small compared to its size and once overloaded it can cause imbalances of the gastrointestinal flora that can often result in colic.

Order

It is very important to ensure the interval of at least one hour between the ration and the hay supply in order to prevent the concentrate from being swept by the fodder to the large intestine. Once the most of ration digestion and absorption occurs in the small intestine, an incomplete digestion could be catastrophic, taking a large amount of concentrate into the large intestine that will ferment rapidly, leading to colic.

Vitamins and Minerals

The accurate mineral and vitamin balance of a horse is important since either a deficit or an excess can be harmful.
Mineral elements play a key role in equine health and are involved in a number of functions in the body, playing structural, functional, physiological and metabolic roles. Some of these elements are an integral part of vitamins and amino acids.

In view of the increased requirements for horseback riding, it is not always possible to meet these needs through simple diets. For this reason it is necessary to enrich a horse’s diet by the addition vitamins and certain amino acids.
